Job Summary
The Manager, Clinical Implementation Education team, is a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for leading and developing a team of Clinical Implementation Educators that delivers high-quality clinical education supporting successful customer implementation, adoption, and optimization of Fresenius Kabi infusion technologies.
Responsibilities
- Directly manages, coaches, and develops clinical educator team members to ensure high-quality education delivery and professional growth.
- Conducts hiring, onboarding, training (in partnership with Learning & Development), performance management, and succession planning for the education team.
- Establishes clear expectations, goals, and metrics aligned to implementation quality, customer satisfaction, and business outcomes.
- Safeguards education strategy for device integration with customer EMRs (Epic, Cerner, Meditech, etc.), in collaboration with informatics and technical teams.
- Provides regular feedback, field coaching, and performance evaluations to ensure adherence to clinical, educational, and professional standards.
- Serves as an escalation point for clinical education risks, customer concerns, and performance issues, ensuring timely communication and resolution.
- Built and maintains strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Builds education schedule and assigns resources to align education schedules, resource deployment, and go-live coverage with project plans. This includes coordinating Per Diem resources with contract organizations in support of education schedules.
- Provides direct customer education, go-live, or demonstration support for complex or high-visibility implementations as needed.
- Pairs with clinical team members to provide Educator support for infusion system assessments, tubing cross-references/formatting, and education schedule formatting.
- Ensures team compliance with all Fresenius Kabi policies, quality systems, health and safety requirements, and customer credentialing standards.
- Maintains confidentiality, professional integrity, and ethical conduct in all internal and external interactions.
- Ensures client satisfaction through follow-up, client responsiveness and thorough communication.
- Provides clinical support for sales team during device demonstrations/pump fairs as directed by implementation leaders.
- Completes all training requirements, including all department-specific, compliance training, etc.
- Participates in any and all reasonable work activities as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required (BSN preferred).
- Current RN licensure and maintained throughout employment.
- 5+ years related experience (direct patient care experience highly preferred).
- Minimum of 1 year management experience and/or in a leadership role leading others.
- Experience implementing medical device products highly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience providing education or professional services in complex clinical environments.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, team management, and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of healthcare workflows, infusion practices, and adult learning principles.
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and build strong internal and customer relationships.
- Knowledge of EMR/EHR integration (Epic, Cerner, Meditech).
- Ability to work well in a collaborative environment and willingness to multitask and be hands-on.
- Demonstrated ability to develop strong working relationships with internal departments and external customers.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Travel is required to attend meeting/trainings/programs at client locations (*up to 50%) and is based on business need (via public transportation: air/auto); may require overnight travel.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- *As a general rule, travel requirement is up to 50%, however, that may vary depending on committed customer activity from month to month.
- Must maintain all requirements for access to customer sites, including active and current compliance with all credentialing requirements (may include COVID-19 and annual influenza vaccinations), in order to perform the essential functions of the role at customer locations.
