Weber Shandwick is looking for a Manager, Client Experience to join our West Technology practice to support clients ranging from the most influential tech brands in the world to fast-growing disruptors. We seek someone passionate about how technology reshapes work and life, with a keen eye on industry evolution. The ideal candidate understands today’s storytelling requires an integrated approach—spanning traditional media, social media, influencer engagement, and owned content—and has foundational experience in AI, computing, and/or enterprise technology.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key team member on multiple lines of business, managing projects and contributing to integrated communication strategies.
  • Provide daily client counsel and strategic recommendations under the guidance of senior leaders.
  • Draft media materials, including press releases, pitch notes, messaging documents, proposals, and bylined articles.
  • Execute integrated communications strategies for major technology campaigns, translating insights into compelling programs.
  • Develop story ideas for clients, media, and influencers, targeting business, technology, and enterprise press.
  • Secure earned media by identifying contacts, writing persuasive pitches, and building media relationships.
  • Stay current on the dynamic media landscape and tech storytelling trends.
  • Mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of curiosity, inclusivity, and high performance.
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations to build trust and rapport.
  • Trend-spot across AI, computing, and enterprise solutions to identify new opportunities.

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of experience in the technology sector; agency experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, or a related discipline.
  • Proven success leading projects from start to finish and working with integrated teams.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to develop impactful earned media programs.
  • Deep understanding of media engagement and strong media relationships.
  • Expertise in AI, computing, and/or enterprise technology, with the ability to translate technical concepts into compelling narratives.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Client-focused approach with strong relationship-building abilities.
  • Proactive, collaborative, and critical thinker with sound professional ethics.

Pay

$74,000–$88,000

Schedule

Minimum of three days per week in-office, with potential for increased in-office requirements over time.
