Manager, Client Accounting Services (CAS) - Not for Profit
About the role
Baker Tilly is seeking an experienced Manager to join its outsourced client accounting practice. This role involves working in a cloud-based environment and serving as an Accounting Manager for multiple clients across the country, collaborating with a team of professionals.
Responsibilities
- Provide best-in-class service and financial expertise to client organizations, including the preparation of periodic financial reports and maintaining an adequate system of controls.
- Enhance the accuracy and relevancy of reported financial results and ensure compliance with the appropriate accounting framework.
- Act as a business advisor by providing analysis and insights based on current business trends, industry experience, and capabilities of other experts within Baker Tilly.
- Oversee and manage the accounting operations of clients' companies, including overseeing the production of monthly, quarterly, and financial reports and benchmarking.
- Provide recommendations for business and process improvements, and work with other managers to ensure efficient workflows.
- Coach, train, and mentor staff on client service, tax, and accounting matters.
- Provide leadership by promoting teamwork, developing proper training and mentoring, and managing workflows.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
- CPA and/or MBA preferred.
- Public accounting or BPO firm experience required, with five (5) plus years of progressively responsible experience in professional accounting functions.
- Experience supporting not-for-profit clients is required.
- Advanced knowledge of accounting principles, including the ability to classify, record, and summarize data and make computations to compile financial records.
- Excellent understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience in Sage Intacct and/or NetSuite required, with QuickBooks On-line (QBO) experience a plus.
Qualifications

Benefits
Baker Tilly offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package to eligible employees, including a competitive salary range of $67,000 to $159,920, depending on experience and qualifications.
Pay
The pay rate range for this job position is $67,000 to $159,920. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of relevant factors including but not limited to applicant’s skills, prior experience, qualifications, degrees, professional certifications, work arrangements, and geographic location.
Schedule
This role is currently available on a hybrid schedule, which may involve both remote and in-office work.
