Manager, Civil Engineering

About the role

The Milhouse Aviation team is growing and as such we are looking for a Manager, Civil Engineering that wants to take the next step in their career!

Responsibilities

- Provide technical expertise to staff, clients, and peers within the organization for a focused type of work. - Assist in growing business volume with existing clients through the execution of quality work. - Perform technical skills gap analysis and recommend developmental training. - Assist project managers by developing and reviewing scopes, schedules and time budgets for work to be executed in their group. - Perform as a Project Manager or technical resource meeting billability targets required for role, level and team. - Monitor groups performance and adherence to required quality, scope, schedule, and budget criteria. - Identify, analyze and resolve problems in a pro-active manner. - Cultivate professional relationships with client, peer, and team members. - Support proposal opportunities that are strategically aligned with regional and group requirements. - Participates in the RFP/RFQ process including, site visits, client meetings, scope development, preparation of project approach, technical execution plans, schedules, and interviews.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s Degree specific to their discipline work from an ABET accredited institution - 10 + years of design experience - PE license required - 5+ years’ experience leading a team that specializes in the related field - An Entrepreneurial mind set - Proficient in Microsoft Suites - MicroStation - AutoCAD - Knowledge of standard format specification development - Design software including but not limited to XP-SWMM, HEC-Ras, WinTR-55, AutoCAD, Civil 3D - Active memberships in discipline specific professional organization such as ASCE
