About the role

The Manager of Charter Air Operations will manage aspects of client/university partner interface of the Charter Air department. Duties include the sourcing to collection lifecycle for charter air transportation, maintaining mutually beneficial relationships with the charter departments at commercial airlines, as well as charter air carriers in various regions across the United States and the world.

Responsibilities

  • Helps to maintain strong relationships with university partners and works closely with charter air carriers.
  • Charter coordination and communication with Anthony Travel onsite athletics personnel as well as Event Managers throughout the organization.
  • Helps to ensure Anthony Travel is receiving the best available rates in the market.
  • Aids in managing contracts to minimize risk and maximize revenue to company.
  • Performs situation analysis and decision making.
  • Works with charter air liaisons to ensure charters are prepared for events and address customer service issues.
  • Takes initiative to identify solutions to solve particular process or business problems.
  • Manages: All aspects of air charter process
  • Client reporting, Accuracy and consistency with procedures and policies, Data/information setup in travel management systems, Customer travel experience, including coordination with carriers, TSA, airports and flight interruptions

Qualifications

  • Seven or more years of related business, sales and charter air management experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Proven leadership and management skills.
  • Strong client-service and vendor management orientation along with solid interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience in working with Airline Certificates (Part 121, 125, & 135).
  • Business knowledge of ARGUS ratings, airline certificates (Part 121, 125, and 135), DOT regulations, CFR, Part 212 affinity/single entity and Part 380/public charters.
  • History of developing relationships with existing and potential clients and partners, resulting in financial or other benefits to the organization.
  • Ability to understand and follow internal business processes, recommending and deploying improvements where possible.
  • Business knowledge or familiarity of end-to-end travel lifecycle and charter air operations and contracts.
  • Ability to professionally and effectively represent Anthony Travel on the phone and in face-to-face interactions.
  • Work as a team player to establish business processes and meet team goals.
  • Tenacious and persistent attitude with a proactive and inquisitive mindset.
  • Strategic decision maker.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to investigate and resolve problems.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle a fast paced and ever-changing environment.
  • Availability to work extended hours including nights, weekends and holidays when necessary.

Pay

Hiring Rate: Minimum $50,625 annually(minimum will not fall below the applicable State/local minimum salary thresholds) Hiring Rate: Maximum $67,500 annually
