Manager, Cardiopulmonary
About the role
The Manager of Cardiopulmonary Services at Greater El Monte Community Hospital leads, plans, organizes, implements, and directs the entire program and service line. This position ensures that services provided in Respiratory Care, Cardiology, and Ventilator Care meet external and internal customer needs. Responsibilities also include developing operating and capital budgets, ensuring appropriate management practices, maintaining staffing levels, conducting competency assessments, staff orientation, and ongoing education and development. The Manager must promote and maintain effective relationships and communication with team members, organizational leadership, and medical staff members. They serve as a role model for the program and mentor and guide the team.
Responsibilities
- Lead, plan, organize, implement, and direct the entire program and service line
- Ensure services provided in Respiratory Care, Cardiology, and Ventilator Care meet external and internal customer needs
- Develop operating and capital budgets with input from administration, staff, and physicians
- Affirm appropriate management practices, maintain staffing levels, conduct competency assessments, staff orientation, and ongoing education and development
- Promote and maintain effective relationships and communication with team members, organizational leadership, and medical staff members
- Serve as a role model for the program and mentor and guide the team
Requirements
- 2 Years Technical or Associate Degree Graduation from an AMA approved school of Respiratory Therapy preferred
- Bachelor’s in Respiratory Therapy preferred
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Related Field preferred
- Minimum 2-3 years Manager/Supervisory experience in an acute care setting
- At least 2-3 years as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in an acute care setting preferred
- Current RCP license from the State of California
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, MAB and NRP RRT license preferred
- Intubation experience or certification preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Bilingual Spanish or Chinese preferred
- Strong written and verbal skills
- EMR experience preferred
- Strong Computer knowledge required with experience in Excel, Microsoft Word
