Manager - Business Solutions Group

About the role

We are partnering with a highly respected Top 100 public accounting and advisory firm that's growing its Business Solutions Group across Southern California. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting manager looking to move beyond traditional compliance work into a strategic, client-facing advisory role.

Responsibilities

• Manage outsourced accounting and finance engagements for a portfolio of clients
• Serve as the primary point of contact for business owners and finance leaders
• Review monthly and period-end financial reporting under US GAAP, IFRS, or cash basis accounting
• Oversee month-end close processes and accounting operations
• Aid clients with budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and KPI reporting
• Develop dashboards and financial insights that support business decision-making
• Manage engagement budgets, timelines, and client communications
• Coach, mentor, and develop senior accountants, staff, and interns
• Support business development initiatives, networking, and client proposals

Requirements

• 7-10+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Recent experience managing client relationships in public accounting or outsourced accounting services
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience overseeing month-end close and maintaining accounting records
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks Online
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while leading high-performing teams

Qualifications

• CPA license (bonus)
• Experience with NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Xero, Bill.com, Concur, or similar ERP/accounting platforms (bonus)
• Industry specialization in areas such as professional services, manufacturing, real estate, healthcare, or technology (bonus)
• Spanish or additional language skills (bonus)

Benefits

Comprehensive benefits package including:

• $145,000-$165,000 base salary
• Plus bonus
