Job Summary
The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, cultivating strategic partnerships, and expanding our market presence. This person works closely with the Vice President of Business Development to develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to achieve the company’s growth goals.
About the Role
CPI Radant is the radome-and-composite-structures division of Communications & Power Industries LLC (CPI). We are formally known as CPI Radant Technologies Division, and we serve the aerospace, defense, naval, and commercial industries by designing, manufacturing, testing and supporting advanced composite radomes, reflectors and structural composite products.
Key Responsibilities
- Use various channels to generate new leads and opportunities that align to the CPI products.
- Conduct thorough research to identify potential clients and decision makers within the target industries.
- Use competitive market intelligence to strategize business development plans.
- Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders to understand their pain points and position CPI products as solutions.
- Stay informed of emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and market growth opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of all interactions and opportunities using Saleforce software and effectively manage a pipeline of leads.
- Drive revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, developing innovative sales strategies, and closing deals to meet targets.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams including sales, marketing, product development, and finance to ensure alignment and synergy in business development efforts.
- Contribute to the development of product marketing materials.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), such as lead conversion rates, pipeline velocity, and revenue generated from qualified leads.

Salary and Benefits
- $140,000 - $160,000 Annual Salary
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Moderate level of domestic and international travel required (up to 50%).
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
