The Branch Manager oversees daily store operations to achieve or advance sales and margin goals. This involves promoting sales, delivering excellent customer service, nurturing inventory levels, and balancing expenses through purchase supporting. Additionally, the Branch Manager fosters facility and staff alignment to safety and regulatory standards, empowering team members in providing efficient customer service, maintaining good housekeeping, and harmonizing overall operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional customer service for all internal and external customers and call-in product, pricing, and technical inquiries.
- Support the outside sales team in nurturing existing client relationships and welcoming new business opportunities.
- Support the flow of accurate and timely daily processing of financial transactions, including cash reports, charge tickets, coding, costing, pricing, daily cash summaries, and bank deposits.
- Maintain the accuracy of back order, open order, and Purchase Order (PO) expedite reports.
- Cultivate and refine appropriate cylinder and hard goods inventory levels for the branch.
- Facilitate and lead training for inside sales associates on product knowledge, company policies, processes, procedures, and safety, ensuring all associates can perform essential branch functions.
- Conduct periodic performance reviews for branch associates.
- Act as a bridge between employees and management, providing performance mentorship and guidance in collaboration with Human Resources and senior management.
Requirements
- Previous management experience, preferably in an industrial environment with a proven record of successfully coaching and mentoring a team.
- 2-3 years of experience in the sales and distribution of industrial gases, welding supplies, or comparable industrial products.
- Ability to read and accurately interpret various documents, including safety rules, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), operating and maintenance instructions, and standard procedure manuals.
- Demonstrated ability to foster a cooperative team environment and effectively collaborate with a diverse group of individuals from various backgrounds and with different personalities.
- Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills, with the capacity to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least two (2) years of experience in a management role.
- Strong background in retail sales and customer service.
- Working knowledge of welding applications and equipment.

Pay
Base pay range: $78K - $80K. This position is eligible for incentive compensation through a quarterly bonus program.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, Daytime hours.
