About the role
Assist in the development and management of all front-of-house and kitchen staff, including department managers. Staff and managers will be trained according to Sauced standards and systems. Open and close restaurant shifts year-round, including holidays as determined by the owner and CEO.
Responsibilities
- Supervise front-of-house employees during scheduled shifts, including documenting employee issues, disciplining staff, recording shift highlights, balancing cash, and identifying operational problems.
- Assist in writing timely and accurate sales and labor forecasts for the restaurant, communicating updates to the owner and CEO.
- Implement sales-building techniques with servers, hosts, and bartenders to drive top-line performance.
- Fill in wherever needed in the restaurant when staff are absent.
- Implement and maintain proper food and beverage handling processes to ensure the health and safety of employees and customers.
- Follow all established systems and checklists to ensure proper food safety and quality.
- Develop yourself, other managers, and staff on Sauced standards in service, food quality, and sanitation.
- Maintain open communication with Human Resources regarding any staff or management issues that could result in financial loss for the company.
- Hire and maintain staff according to set pars for the Sacramento location while developing the management team’s ability to identify quality staff.
- Adhere to and successfully manage budgets for selected parts of the P&L, including Labor, Cost of Goods (COG), Sales, and Profit. Additional P&L items may be delegated by the General Manager.
Requirements
- Minimum 40 hours per week, with the expectation of working longer when required and until job duties are complete.
Benefits
- 10 days of paid time off (PTO) annually, accruing immediately.
- Quarterly bonus structure based on measurable performance, paid within 60 days of the close of each quarter. To be eligible, employment must continue through the bonus payment date or one month after the quarter closes, whichever comes first.
