About the role

The Manager of Asset Protection (AP) is responsible for supervision of Asset Protection teams in the store they support, including recruiting, development, performance oversight, and budgeting. This position executes the company's shrinkage reduction strategy, ensures the safety and security of employees, prevents theft, enhances profitability, and aligns with company values and business strategy. The AP Manager partners with cross-functional store leaders to support retail asset protection.

Responsibilities

  • Lead by example and execute the organizational strategy set by the AP Division.
  • Develop strong relationships within the store, including with the Store Manager, Service Experience, Inventory Accuracy, and Human Resources teams, to lead shrink-impacting initiatives.
  • Act as the owner of building security and safety, educating the store on emergency preparedness and assisting employees during safety incidents.
  • Monitor and communicate all reports to ensure AP incidents and cases are properly documented.
  • Leverage data to identify trends and mitigate internal and external theft.
  • Lead execution of the company’s shrink program and directives, including shrink reduction plans and detecting theft or dishonesty.
  • Hire and develop talent to support internal and external investigations, auditing, shortage reduction programs, AP awareness programs, and system controls.
  • Use data-driven reporting to identify risks and mitigate issues that reduce loss and maximize profitability.

Requirements

  • A valid security license is required for this role in Washington DC; Denver, Colorado; New York City, New York; St. Louis, Missouri; and Oregon.
  • Proven success in investigative, asset protection, and security procedures, as well as prior AP leadership experience.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Exception Based Reporting tools and Case Management Software.
  • Ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with employees and leaders.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills in high-stress situations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, delegation, and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with computers, including monitoring and surveillance technologies.
  • High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and store needs.

Pay

Pay range: $57,000.00 - $91,500.00 annually. Offers are dependent on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
