About the role

Rexel USA is one of the largest distributors of electrical products, data communication, wireless communication and related supplies in the United States. The Manager Area Operations & Safety will oversee the operations of multiple branches within a defined geographic area, including daily branch activity, logistics, safety, profit and loss management, resource management, process adherence, and identifying improvement opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operational activities for multiple branch locations within a defined area
  • Collaborate with branch managers to establish and maintain operational budgets
  • Develop and recommend short- and long-term objectives for branch operations and office administration
  • Implement business strategies and company/department procedures
  • Review and audit reports such as direct billing edit reports, customer credits, customer invoices, and vendor credit listings to ensure accuracy and appropriate actions
  • Authorize customer credits, assign reason codes, and determine whether returned goods should be added to inventory
  • Investigate and resolve pricing problems, discrepancies, and exception invoicing procedures
  • Communicate with buyers to resolve past-due credit issues
  • Oversee facilities maintenance, including landlord communications and office equipment upkeep
  • Manage office supply inventory
  • Participate in committees and task forces to improve business processes and explore alternatives to existing methods
  • Organize and oversee year-end inventory
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of operational experience
  • High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Knowledge of the electrical distribution industry, including current market, customers, suppliers, and competitors
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organization and time management skills; detail-oriented with ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
