About the role
As an AML Manager, you will help our clients mitigate risks related to money laundering, terrorist financing, and sanctions violations, as well as improve their ability to meet regulatory requirements, expectations, and guidance in support of developing and maintaining sound AML and sanctions programs and controls. This is a multi-month assignment with the opportunity to be extended.
You will build professional skills through diverse project experiences, assisting clients to understand and address complex issues while implementing solutions to remediate identified risks. This role offers the opportunity to work with our worldwide network of member firms across a variety of engagements.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor professional teams on projects
- Develop and coach team members
- Design, review, enhance, implement, and monitor AML and sanctions compliance programs for global clients subject to US AML and sanctions requirements
- Assess AML and sanctions risks at the enterprise and business unit level
- Draft and enhance policies and procedures
- Create and deliver training modules
- Conduct compliance assessments
- Perform transaction monitoring "look backs" pursuant to regulatory orders, Know Your Customer ("KYC") remediations, internal controls assessments, internal investigations, and/or independent testing

Requirements
- Minimum 6+ years of experience in private or public sector AML and/or sanctions-focused activities, including project management
- Subject matter expertise in AML/sanctions regulations as they apply to financial institutions, including retail, wholesale and international banks, broker dealers, mutual funds, and insurance companies
- Ability to develop AML/OFAC compliance policies and procedures and review relevant policy manuals
- Ability to provide advice regarding applicable AML/OFAC regulations and requirements across the three lines of defense on regulatory, transactional, and documentation issues
- Proficiency in using AML monitoring systems and related software
- Experience managing a team of professional AML/OFAC compliance practitioners
- Experience building strong relationships at all levels of a business
- Experience submitting written and oral reports to senior management and clients
- Strong analytical and investigative skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proven experience prioritizing workload, managing multiple priorities, and adapting to meet deadlines
- Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment
- Willingness to travel 75%, on average, based on work and client needs
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Law, Criminal Justice, or a related field
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
Preferred Qualifications
- AML consulting experience
- Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), CFE, or equivalent certification
- Regulatory experience
- Ability to speak multiple languages
Pay
A reasonable estimate of the current range is $122,000 to $240,500, taking into account skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Compensation decisions depend on individual circumstances and are not typically at or near the top of the range.
