Manager, Analytics Development

About the role

LSEG is seeking a Technical Manager to lead a team of developers in managing and developing applications and modules for the Analytics Technology Business within LSEG Data & Analytics Division. The role involves extending and modernizing existing services, leveraging cloud technologies, and supporting business growth.

Responsibilities

• Leading a team of developers to develop innovative solutions to customer technology needs.
• Developing and maintaining compute platforms for financial models to support both external and internal clients.
• Maintaining, designing, and setting up infrastructure to support various applications.
• Maintaining and improving the existing compute infrastructure – performance, quality, and efficiency.
• Designing, presenting, and collaborating with other teams on technical solutions to realize complex business and technical objectives.
• Working on products used by leading financial institutions worldwide.
• Engaging in strategic projects that significantly impact the business bottom line.

Requirements

• 6+ years’ work experience, including 2+ years’ experience in technical teams/projects leadership role.
• 2+ years’ experience working with Linux/Unix environments.
• 3+ years’ experience developing C/C++ enterprise solutions (services, databases, …).
• Working experience with Python or other high-level languages required.
• Good communication, organization, and coordination skills.
• Experience working with distributed teams – multi-site, multi-time zones.
• Experience presenting with product teams, project collaborators.
• Experience in a software development lifecycle and delivery role.
• Excellent programming skills in C/C++: Data Structures, networking, databases, services, …
• Experience building and deploying C/C++ services to cloud: K9S, Lambdas.
• Strong analytical background and quantitative skills.
• Experience with AWS OR Azure cloud technologies & tools a plus.

Desired Skills

• Strong analytical background and quantitative skills, especially in the fixed income market.
• Experience with Kubernetes and Infrastructure.
• Knowledge of Fixed Income Securities/Markets.

Education / Certification

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science/Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields with high academic standing.
• Azure/AWS technologies certification a plus.

Pay

The anticipated base salary for this position is $170,000 - $283,300. Please be aware base salary ranges may vary by geographic location, city and state. In addition to our offered base salary, this role is eligible for our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP/”bonus plan”). Target AIP rates will be commensurate with role level and posted career stage. Individual salary will be reflective of job related knowledge, skills and equivalent experience.
