About the Role
The Manager works collaboratively within a team of highly qualified Performance Transformation consultants to deliver performance improvement for healthcare organizations. This position will be primarily responsible for performing billable work for clients, leading and participating in engagement workstreams, and managing activities and deliverables to meet the objectives of the Statement of Work or internal project.
Responsibilities
- Determine client needs in terms of the engagement statement of work.
- Lead, complete, and provide quality assurance over data analyses; interpret data analyses and form initial recommendations and potential solutions.
- Lead the team and participate in the development of client deliverables and presentation materials for various audiences.
- Play an active leadership role in risk identification and mitigation.
- Manage workstream economics and project management.
- Lead work efforts in the implementation of recommended improvements.
- Oversee day-to-day management of all activities, deliverables, and staff assigned to their workstream or project.
- Build and maintain an effective and high-performing team for assigned activities.
- Manage client leadership expectations regarding deliverables against the Statement of Work.
- Ensure timely completion of deliverables, including data analytics reviews, deck reviews, and final presentations.
- Mentor and coach staff, utilizing Coker and Acuvance solutions and tools as needed.
- Represent Coker and Acuvance professionally to clients and in all other settings.
- Build strong, referenceable client relationships.
- Participate in Coker internal activities, including practice development, educational opportunities, and learning technologies, methods, and processes.
- Maintain utilization targets for client billable projects.
- Create a positive team environment by enriching staff skills and knowledge.
- Execute, direct, or oversee analyses, and review interpretations, findings, and conclusions.
- Prepare or lead the preparation of written, graphic, and verbal presentations of analytics and recommendations.
- Utilize sound storyboarding skills and tailor messaging to the correct audience.
- Perform quality assurance on assigned workstream deliverables and those of staff under mentorship or oversight.
- Assist in determining client needs by leading client interviews and summarizing findings.
- Summarize analytical findings coherently and draw insights from observations, interviews, and data analyses.
- Develop accurate conclusions from findings.
- Execute project plans in alignment with Statement of Works.
- Engage with clients professionally and ethically, representing Coker’s work.
- Complete assigned work as requested, including analytics, reports, and implementation processes.
- Lead project management activities as assigned.
- Manage the budget and expenses for their assigned workstream or project.
- Participate in risk and issue identification and mitigation with the project leadership team.
- Actively mentor and lead staff assigned through the Practice and on projects.
- Participate in and lead practice development activities.
- Contribute to methodology and tool development within their Service Area.
- Listen for market opportunities on current engagements and communicate potential leads to leadership.
- Contribute to the development of sales presentation deliverables, leveraging Acuvance/Coker tools as appropriate.
- Proactively seek opportunities to participate in sales activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve profitability.
- Complete annual training requirements as requested.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (required).
- Master’s degree and/or additional certifications (MBA, ASA, ABV, CVA, CFA, CPA, etc.) (preferred).
- 5 years of applicable experience in Supply Chain, Health Systems Finance, Operations (clinical, support, or operations), Pharmacy, Operational or Strategic Consulting, Strategic Planning, or Decision Support Analytics (required).
Qualifications
- Ability to build, maintain, and grow client relationships.
- Coordinate and deliver effective presentations (verbal and written) to client audiences.
- Conduct thorough and relevant analyses and oversee/mentor others in producing client deliverables on time and on budget.
- Mentor and grow team members within the Practice and Service Area.
- Proficient in Excel, Tableau, PowerPoint, and familiar with Business Intelligence Tools.
- Manage time effectively for themselves and others on their workstream.
- Perform quality assurance on others' work.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Exercise good judgment in decision-making versus consulting leadership.
- Lead work groups to successful outcomes.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.
Travel and Other Requirements
This position requires some travel (25%).
