Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a team of two Account Managers, providing ongoing coaching, performance management, and professional development support.
- Maintain direct ownership of a portfolio of key agency and marketer partnerships, delivering exceptional service and strategic guidance.
- Serve as the day-to-day contact for existing agency and brand marketer partners, while delivering expertise in the IX platform.
- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to clients to help them solve challenges and capitalize on opportunities within the programmatic landscape.
- Partner with business development to support new business efforts and evangelize the Index Exchange brand in market.
- Collaborate with publisher account teams to identify and secure new deal opportunities, as well as ensure the health and growth of existing deals.
- Guide your team through ambiguous situations and evolving client needs, modeling a solutions-oriented, bias-for-action mindset.
- Attend relevant industry events and entertain partners in innovative ways that foster engagement and strategic account growth.
- Forecast revenue growth across your team’s book of business and track delivery against targets and OKRs.
- Lead and participate in regular knowledge share sessions, contributing to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in digital media, with an in-depth understanding of the programmatic advertising landscape (e.g. ad server, ad network, exchange, SSP, DSP, agency trading desk, PMP, etc.).
- 1-2 years of experience managing direct reports, with a demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and hold a team accountable.
- Proven experience working with large agencies; experience with Dentsu or WPP is a strong plus.
- Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment — you’re comfortable operating without a perfect playbook and can bring clarity and direction to your team when needed.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills — ability to be clear and compelling when presenting internally and externally, with the ability to tailor your message to different audiences.
- Advanced stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust and influence across clients and internal teams.
- Proven ability to leverage data and analytics to solve customer problems and drive strategic recommendations.
- Goal-oriented approach to client management — you are constantly seeking opportunities to add value, build relationships, and deliver actionable insights that grow revenue.
- Strong program management and organizational skills; ability to prioritize and meet deadlines across a complex portfolio.
- Proficiency in Salesforce and other CRM/analytics tools (e.g. DOMO, Looker); advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university, preferably in business, marketing, communications, or a technology-related field.

Pay
The base salary range for this role is USD $125,000 - $165,000. The total compensation package may vary depending on non-discriminatory factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Schedule
This role is full-time.
