Manager -Accounts Payable

About the role
This role involves reviewing employee travel and non-travel related expenses and risk management to achieve operational excellence. You will identify root causes of problems using data-driven approaches and provide solutions aligned with business strategies. The position requires extensive interaction with employees to analyze information and support company needs, often going beyond assigned responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Approve or reject expenses in accordance with company policy.
- Communicate with employees to provide guidance and training on expense submissions.
- Support month-end closing in collaboration with other SEA departments and subsidiaries.
- Manage projects to meet time-sensitive deadlines and coordinate with other corporate departments.
- Update company policy and processes as directed by supervisor, and conduct training for employees on expense policies.
- Run and/or review payment proposals to ensure timely payment to employees and banks.
- Administer the corporate card program, including issuing cards, setting limits, closing accounts, and following up on pending items.
- Assist in preparing materials in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and/or using AI tools for presentations within and outside the AP team.
- Assist in reporting and analysis for risk management items (fraud prevention, control gaps, duplicate prevention, and various audits).
- Support team members on all project-related tasks.
- Assist the manager in department projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 6-8 years of experience in a similar role.
- 2+ years of people and organization experience preferred.
- Experience with SAP or a similar ERP system preferred.
