Manager, Accounts Payable

About the role

The Accounts Payable Manager will assist with the oversight of the day-to-day operations of the accounting department in a growing company. Will be strategic, proactive, resourceful, and be able to build strong relationships within the department and cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the accounts payable function and manage the day-to-day operation
• Support accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close, including management of the monthly close calendar deadlines
• Familiar with a variety of the Accounting and Audit concepts, practices, and procedures: GAAP
• Manage the design and administration of accounts payable policy and procedure within the organization
• Evaluate and makes appropriate improvements to accounting policies and internal accounting processes ensuring that practices are in line with the overall goals of the organization
• Support and manage the execution of external audits
• Leverage extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and deadlines
• Communicate effectively with other departments, external auditors
• Comply with special project analyses and ad hoc reporting as needed
• Lead, mentor and develop current Account Payables staff

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B. S.) or equivalent from four-year college in Accounting or Finance. 5+ years of accounts payable experience. 3 years of experience with managing a team within accounts payable.
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have strong system skills including experience with a large ERP system such as Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle or SAP including set up and creating reports. Excellent PC skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word are required.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position will directly manage a team within accounts payable.

Pay

$89,850.00 - $119,800.00

Reimbursement for expenses as required by applicable law and Company policy. Retail, Guest Services and Distribution Center Team Members are eligible to receive team bonus based on meeting specific goals and KPI's.
