Management Trainee (Tampa International Airport)

About the role

1ST GEAR! is our global Management Trainee Program—a dynamic, 12-month journey designed to fast-track you into a real leadership role at SIXT. From day one, you’ll gain hands-on experience, take on responsibility, and develop the skills needed to lead in one of the world’s most innovative mobility companies. Upon successful completion, you’ll graduate directly into a leadership position, such as managing your own downtown branch or joining a high-performing airport leadership team.

You’ll take on responsibility early, support operational goals, and contribute to team efficiency while gaining insights into key business areas like Sales, Customer Service, Fleet Management, and Performance Management. Working in day-to-day operations, you’ll learn all aspects of our core business—from sales to fleet operations—with training in communication, conflict resolution, sales, and problem-solving strategies. You’ll collaborate closely with Branch Managers and Area Directors to develop leadership skills on the job.

This is not a fully remote position. You must be willing to work and travel within the United States as business needs dictate, including periodic travel of up to 50% during the first year and temporary assignments across various locations.

Requirements

• Completed bachelor’s degree or relevant professional experience in Sales, Customer Service, Tourism, Hospitality, or Management
• Hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset with a drive to lead—you take initiative rather than wait for instructions
• Strong communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus)
• Proactive attitude: you work independently, solve problems, and take ownership
• Agile flexibility to adapt to business needs, including travel and temporary relocations within the U.S.
• Valid driver’s license with at least 1 year of driving experience
