Management Trainee (Jacksonville International Airport)

About the role

1ST GEAR! is our global Management Trainee Program—a dynamic, 12-month journey designed to fast-track you into a real leadership role at one of the world’s most innovative mobility companies. From day one, you’ll gain hands-on experience, take on responsibility, and develop the skills needed to lead. Upon successful completion, you’ll graduate directly into a leadership position, such as managing your own downtown branch or joining a high-performing airport leadership team.

You’ll earn an hourly rate of $22.17 with a performance-based bonus and gain the use of a company car upon program completion.

Responsibilities

• Take on responsibility early in the 12-month program, supporting operational goals and contributing to team efficiency and success.
• Gain insights into key business areas: Sales, Customer Service, Fleet Management, and Performance Management.
• Work in day-to-day operations from day one, learning all aspects of core operations from sales to fleet management.
• Develop skills through training in communication, conflict resolution, sales, and problem-solving strategies.
• Collaborate closely with Branch Managers and Area Directors to learn leadership on the job.

Requirements

• Completed bachelor’s degree or relevant professional experience in Sales, Customer Service, Tourism, Hospitality, or Management.
• Hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset with a drive to lead—you take initiative rather than wait for instructions.
• Strong communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus).
• Proactive attitude: work independently, solve problems, and take ownership.
• Willingness to work and travel within the United States as business needs dictate (not a fully remote position). May require up to 50% travel during the first year and temporary assignments across various U.S. locations.
• Valid driver’s license with at least 1 year of driving experience.
