About the Role
PURVIS Systems is a technology solutions partner that develops, implements, and maintains mission-critical solutions for federal and local government agencies. We are seeking a talented and motivated Management Specialist to support a large-scale U.S. Navy product development program by providing Configuration Management (CM) and Requirements Management support to engineering teams throughout the system development lifecycle. Responsibilities
- Support CM activities by researching and maintaining configuration-controlled data within CMPro, including drawings, parts lists, technical documentation, and product baselines.
- Maintain requirements within the software management systems by creating, updating, organizing, and tracing system, subsystem, and software requirements while ensuring complete end-to-end traceability.
- Conduct configuration and requirements research to support engineering change proposals (ECPs), MBPS/PDM initiatives, technical reviews, and engineering decision-making by providing accurate technical data and reports.
- Partner with Systems Engineers and Configuration Managers to maintain technical baselines, support engineering change activities, and ensure accurate traceability between system requirements and configuration-controlled technical data.
- Generate reports, traceability matrices, and configuration documentation to support design reviews, audits, testing activities, and customer deliverables.
- Collaborate with Configuration Management, Systems Engineering, and project stakeholders by participating in technical meetings, tracking action items, resolving configuration and requirements discrepancies, and supporting continuous process improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Experience using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience with CMPro.
- Experience with IBM DOORS.
- Experience supporting Navy or DoD engineering programs.
- Experience with configuration management principles.
- Experience working with relational databases or VBA/macros.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Candidate must be able to obtain a government security clearance to the level of SECRET.
