Configuration Management Specialist: Senior (52468)
About the Role
Lead or supervise a team of configuration management specialists. Provide configuration baseline control throughout the lifecycle of highly complex information systems, including component software and hardware elements. Facilitate and advise Configuration Control Boards (CCBs). Maintain allocated, functional, and physical baseline control and perform audit support. Review engineering change requests to assess impact on configuration baseline and logistics support elements. Maintain configuration control records and technical documents. Collaborate with quality assurance and management representatives to ensure accurate and well-documented product baseline. Prepare directives for change authorization and implementation.
Requirements
- IT-II security clearance or a current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC) at time of proposal submission.
- Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority (e.g., Configuration Management II (CMII) from ICM, PMP from PMI, Certified Manager Certification (CM) from ICPM, SW Engineering Master Certification (SEMC) from IEEE, or ITIL from HDI).
