Applicants tentatively selected for testing-designated positions will undergo urinalysis screening prior to appointment. Refusal or a positive result results in withdrawal of the tentative job offer and a six-month denial of employment with DLA. Employees in testing-designated positions are subject to random testing. A negative result must be received by HR within 30 calendar days after the entry-on-duty date; inability to pass or refusal may result in withdrawal of the offer or removal from federal service. Selectees may be required to sign a "Drug Test Statement of Understanding." The DLA panel tests for marijuana, cocaine, opiates, heroin, phencyclidine, amphetamines, methamphetamines, fentanyl, norfentanyl, MDMA, MDA, and opioids.
