Management and Program Analyst
This position is open exclusively to current Department of War (DoW) federal employees. Applicants must submit their most recent SF50 to verify eligibility.
About the Role
Serve as a Program Analyst applying Air Force Depot operations, Information Technology (IT)/Operational Technology (OT) systems, and business process re-engineering experience. Analyze, develop, and evaluate issues to resolve substantive problems and improve effectiveness and efficiency of work operations. Projects relate to one or more of the following tactical or strategic areas:
- Depot maintenance operations, including integrated financial collection and reporting as related to point of work execution
- Agile systems development and management
- Depot maintenance systems solution and cyber security capability
- Business process and system end user training evaluations
- End user input and functional capability requirements definition for acquisition input
- Data analysis, collection, and transformation
- Current depot operations and systems interactions
- Evaluation of program of record deliverables
Develop business process and system requirements in accordance with DoD and Air Force guidance. Apply qualitative and quantitative analytical techniques, often requiring modification to fit a wide range of variables. Provide recommendations on project funding and programming issues related to the current fiscal year budget and the Future Years Defense Program (FYDP).
Act as the strategic bridge between logistics operations and IT by serving as the A6 Functional Lead for legacy Maintenance (Mx) and Supply IT systems. Establish and lead functional governance and configuration management processes to manage the lifecycle, system baseline, and sustainment of this portfolio. Enforce standardized business processes and disciplined configuration control to ensure legacy systems support the warfighter while accelerating enterprise Digital Depot and Industry 4.0 modernization efforts.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of Air Force and command program goals and objectives, key operational events and milestones, and methods of evaluating planning actions related to actual events
- Knowledge of the relationship of various command entities involved in program planning, execution, and evaluations
- Skill in designing and conducting comprehensive studies and preparing solutions to resolve substantive problems in major command programs
- Ability to represent the agency on interagency work groups, negotiate critical issues, and communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Expert knowledge of policy and planning concepts across multiple IT disciplines, including laws, principles, and practices of systems acquisition, program and financial management, and Air Force depot operations
- Ability to apply project management methods to manage communities of interest involved in developing and implementing workable approaches to Air Force depot operations and IT/OT systems

Pay
2026 Salary Range: $89,508 – $138,370 yearly (with locality pay).
