About the role

The Kern Community College District’s California Compliance School is looking for instructor/trainers to conduct not-for-credit Job Skills training for clients throughout Kern County. We are looking for instructors with industry experience and some training experience to conduct training in management, leadership and supervision skills.

Requirements

  • Five years of related industry experience is required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher is preferred.
  • Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
  • Ability To Meet schedules and timelines.
  • Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Travel as required.
  • Establish good working relationships with a variety of individuals and organizations and facilitate inter-organizational cooperation.
  • Learn College and District organization and applicable operations, policies, and procedures.
  • Utilize internet research, computer word processing, electronic mail, and spreadsheet programs.
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Qualifications

Applicants with foreign degrees from colleges or universities outside of the United States must have their coursework evaluated by a professional association that is a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) or Academic Credentials Evaluation Institute, INC. (ACEI). A copy of the evaluation must be submitted with your on-line application.

Skills

Training experience and industry experience in management, leadership and supervision skills are required.
