Position Overview

Workdays & Hours: Monday – Friday / 7:00am - 4:00 pm * Subject to change

Responsibilities

  • Serve as TDO administrator and subject matter expert
  • Reviewing users report monthly to add or remove users
  • Work with the Communication Specialist to develop monthly tips/tricks for distribution
  • Review various system reports to ensure safety adherences
  • Develop improvement recommendations for driving behavior and gain buy-in
  • Incorporate automated system notifications for vehicle incidents; search for trends/patterns
  • Collaborate with vendor to effectively communicate concerns of the Service Line to ensure organizational needs are met
  • Utilize new or available technologies to create internal dashboard
  • Present safety data (focus on significant incidents and trend analysis) during bimonthly meetings (six times per year) and incorporating Samsara where applicable
  • Attend citywide safety meetings and notify management of any new developments
  • Analyze data presented on Work Order Overdue Dashboard
  • Review trends/patterns and suggest areas of improvement
  • Follow up with management in areas such as Average completion time, total past due and past due detail
  • Provide biweekly reports to management detailing citizen responses and explanations for past due items
  • Aid in the development of operational SOPs to document intuitional knowledge regarding procedures and processes
  • Improve customer service relations via assistance from TDO operational teams and optimizing TDO operational environments
  • Create flow charts for documentation of workflow processes
  • Analyze overtime data for OQE staff and other special projects as assigned

Working Conditions

This position is physically comfortable; the individual has discretion about walking, standing, etc. There are no major sources of discomfort in a normal office environment. This is a Houston Public Works position at the Tier III Level.

Minimum Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Finance or a field directly related to the job.
  • Four years of professional experience in accounting, budget analysis, finance, public administration or a field directly related to the job are required.
  • A Master’s degree in a field directly related to the job may substitute for two years of the above experience requirement.
  • No license requirements.

SALARY INFORMATION

Factors used in determining the salary offered include the candidate’s qualifications as well as the pay rates of other employees in this classification. Pay Grade 21
