Management Analyst I

About the role
This position involves the review, examination, and evaluation of organizational structures, administrative policies, and management systems within Maine Revenue Services (MRS). Responsibilities include analyzing activities and work problems, summarizing findings, preparing reports, and recommending changes in organizational structures, programs, policies, procedures, or practices in administrative, financial, records, and information management systems. Work may include overseeing, monitoring, and assigning work to employees. Work is performed under limited supervision.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and validate daily revenue summary report and statistics.
- Process twice-daily ICL deposits, cash, and manual deposits as needed.
- Reconcile accounts, including bank adjustments and 1080 reconciliations.
- Verify cash logs and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Maintain temporary worker rosters and review weekly invoices.
- Manage checks and forms, including re-imaging or deletion.
- Handle non-revenue processing and respond to system ticket requests.
- Troubleshoot scanner issues or system errors to maintain workflow.
- Produce OPC reports and contribute to monthly or periodic management reports.
- Conduct research and analysis, including MRS research requests and TRIPS report reviews.
- Support migration efforts and assess system, policy, and process effectiveness.
- Document activities to ensure compliance with procedures.
Requirements
Six (6) years of education, training, and/or experience analyzing, evaluating, and/or developing improvements to organizational and/or managerial systems, programs, and practices.
Pay
$45,811.27 – $64,101.75 annually (includes 2.25% recruitment and retention stipend).
