Management Analyst.
About the role
The Management Analyst is responsible for providing qualitative and quantitative assessments of the wide range of division operations. Specific duties include coordinating and preparing responses to request input such as workload projection, developing and writing reports for the BEST Manager and Assistant BEST Manager, performing studies and analyses of management functions, preparing reports and memorandums, monitoring and interpreting data, identifying and performing special studies, preparing production reports, serving as a liaison, and coordinating and scheduling reviews of policies and directives.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and prepare responses to request input such as workload projection.
- Develops and writes reports for the BEST Manager and Assistant BEST Manager, including recommendations for improvements to ensure effective operations.
- Performs studies and analyses of management functions to improve management of the division, budget, and day-to-day operations.
- Prepares reports, memorandums, letters, directives, Strategic Oversight and Analysis Reviews (SOARs), daily workload reports, etc for submission to higher-level internal and external management.
- Maintains accurate and timely data through multiple channels and systems to validate correct reporting and uncover problem areas.
- Serves as a liaison and coordinates and facilitates initiatives requiring inter-team cooperation and action.
- Cover compliance with directives, quality standards, effective personnel utilization and supervisory control.
- Prepare production reports using data available for the purpose of analyzing trends which could lead to out-of-control situations affecting the division as a whole.
Requirements
Required: U.S. Citizenship, Selective Service Registration, Background Investigation, and Certification of Public Interest.
Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related.
Qualifications
- Specialized experience: Work that involves preparing reports, evaluating and analyzing processes, conducting internal audits, and coordinating and facilitating initiatives requiring team cooperation.
- Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related.
- Combining Education & Experience: If you do not fully meet the length of experience and education described for a specific grade level, the two can be combined to total 100% of the requirement.
Skills
Knowledge of management principles, practices, and procedures. Ability to prepare and present reports, analyze data, and conduct internal audits. Proficiency in using various software applications and systems.

Pay
Salary range for GS-09 is $41,170 to $51,620 and for GS-11 is $51,620 to $64,770.
