Duties
- Build, schedule, and automate file transmissions (incoming and outgoing) working with IBM Sterling and other MFT tools.
- Support tool migrations and MFT modernization efforts.
- Work with clients and technical SME to understand business and functional requirements for file transmissions and formats (x12).
- Utilize IBM Connect:Direct to support high-volume data transports and support automation of transmission workflows.
- Implement data encryption and use secure protocols (SFTP, FTPS) to meet safety rules per client requirements for Linux and Windows environments.
- Collaborate with security teams to align protocols with enterprise frameworks.
- Monitor file transmissions and traffic loads, identify bottlenecks and failures, troubleshooting as needed.
- Develop scripts to optimize workflows.
- Stay current on emerging security threats and evolving best practices in secure file transfer.
Qualifications
- Experience working with enterprise EDI environments as a MFT Specialist
- Working knowledge of Linux and Windows
- x12 transmissions scripting
