Mammography Technologist - Will Train

About the role

This is a full-time position for a Mammography Technologist (RT) responsible for performing screening and diagnostic mammograms, with opportunities to learn additional procedures such as localizations and biopsies. The role involves preparing patients and equipment, conducting procedures independently, and rotating between various hospital sites, including specialized centers and mobile units.

Responsibilities

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms, with potential to expand skills into biopsies and advanced imaging tasks.
• Prepare patients and equipment for imaging procedures.
• Operate independently across multiple sites, including on-call situations and portable exams.

Qualifications and Skills

• Associate's Degree or Trade School equivalency.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist (R.T. (R)) credential.
• Preferred certifications include RT (M), with willingness to train for Mammography (M).
• Licenses such as IEMA (Illinois) and additional certifications like RTR, CT, MR, and others are advantageous.
• No prior experience required; however, two years of experience and CPR, IV therapy certifications are preferred.
