About the role
We are seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform screening and diagnostic mammography exams using specialized imaging equipment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain ARRT certification and ensure patient safety and accurate identification.
- Prepare patients and execute procedures such as stereotactic biopsies, clip placements, and drainages.
- Demonstrate proper positioning and operate imaging equipment.
- Follow radiation safety protocols and provide compassionate patient care, addressing concerns and ensuring comfort.
- Perform infection control measures and maintain accurate documentation.
- Adhere to protocols for coding, quality control, and effective communication with healthcare teams.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- ARRT certification and state radiologic technologist license.
- BLS certification.
Qualifications (Preferred)
- ARRT Mammography Certification or enrollment in mammography training.
Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in mammography and biopsy procedures.
- Expertise in patient safety and radiation protection.
- Adherence to protocols and image evaluation.
- Emergency response and effective communication.
