About the Role
The Mammography Technologist performs diagnostic mammography imaging to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment.
Responsibilities
- Operate mammography and imaging equipment
- Ensure patient safety
- Maintain high-quality images
- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Imaging Program with completed clinical hours
- No prior experience required
- State licensure may be necessary depending on location
- Certification from ARRT or eligible to obtain it within 6 months
- BLS certification within 30 days of hire
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency in producing diagnostic images and recognizing technical abnormalities
- Knowledge of advanced procedures and machine operation safety protocols
- Attention to detail, strong communication, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Perform physical tasks like reaching, bending, and kneeling
