Mammography Technologist (Per Diem) - Radiology Diagnostic

About the role

Make an impact beyond the scan by helping patients feel cared for, supported, and empowered throughout their breast health journey. This is a screening-only Mammography Technologist position. You will perform a variety of radiological technical procedures specific to the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease in a high-volume outpatient setting. You are responsible for producing high-quality radiographic images while interacting with all patients in a caring and comforting manner. You are jointly responsible for performing required quality control activities as mandated by the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and the FDA. Depending on location, you may be required to utilize general radiography skills to perform diagnostic radiology exams.

Responsibilities

• Perform screening mammography procedures in a high-volume outpatient setting.
• Produce high-quality radiographic images while providing compassionate patient care.
• Conduct required quality control activities as mandated by MQSA and the FDA.
• Utilize general radiography skills to perform diagnostic radiology exams, if required by location.

Requirements

• Successful completion of a formal radiologic technology training program that meets the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Washington Radiologic Technologist license upon hire.
• National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
• National Registered Technologist - Radiography (ARRT) certification upon hire.
• National Registered Technologist - Mammography certification within 1 year of hire.
• Depending on location, prior general radiography experience may be required.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years of full-time mammography experience.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $44.06 - $69.55 per hour. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Schedule

Per-Diem, Day shift.
