Mammography Technologist II
About the Role

In a dynamic Diagnostic and Screening Breast Imaging Center, you will perform digital screening, diagnostic mammography, and breast procedures. This role involves extensive interaction with staff, patients, and referring clinicians. A $20,000 sign-on bonus is available.
Responsibilities
- Follow departmental guidelines and protocols in performing digital screening and diagnostic mammography, including mammography-guided needle localizations.
- Adhere to State and Federal regulations regarding radiation safety.
- Maintain and complete records related to examinations performed.
- Collaborate with staff to adapt to changes in operational flow that affect patient care, including adjusting your pace and schedule.
- Communicate with patients and physicians to expedite care, accommodating patients with acute clinical indications.
- Monitor equipment performance and perform preventative maintenance; report malfunctions or needed repairs to supervisors.
- Mentor student radiographers and onboarding mammography technologists, evaluating their progress through established documentation.
- In the absence of a supervisor, make decisions based on established protocols to ensure continuity of patient care.
- Assist in accommodating disabled individuals to ensure access to the Medical Center’s services when required.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) license required.
- ARRT Mammography (RAML-Mammography) registration required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (new hires have 30 days to provide certification; must be from the American Heart Association).
- 1-3 years of related work experience required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, juggling and prioritizing multiple tasks.
- Experience with computer systems, including web-based applications and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or Access).

Physical Demands
Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently. Some sedentary elements, but the role requires standing for periods or moving throughout the hospital campus.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $71.33 per hour. Actual compensation is determined based on factors such as seniority, education, training, relevant experience, certifications, geography, job responsibilities, and applicable shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, or overtime.
