Responsibilities

  • Imaging breast radiographs to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.
  • Patient education and data collection.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Perform a variety of clinical breast procedures with efficiency and high standards of quality.
  • Evaluate images for diagnostic quality prior to submission for interpretation.
  • Aid in the set-up and performance of breast interventional procedures.
  • Participate in the quality assurance program by performing specific quality control procedures.
  • Assist in the training of new staff and student technologists.
  • Interface with customers, patients, and their family members, demonstrating the consistent use of the AIDET principles.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalency.
  • Certification from an approved AMA program in Radiological Technology.
  • Certified by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT).
  • Current Advanced Certification Certificate in Mammography by ARRT.
  • Licensed by the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a radiographer.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • Good decision-making and judgment skills.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain required mammography continuing education as mandated by the Mammography Quality Standards Act.
  • CPR Certification.

Qualifications

Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity.

Schedule

This position is a 100% onsite opportunity. You will need to be based in the greater Chicagoland area.
