About the role
The Mammography Technologist performs screening mammography procedures in a high-volume outpatient setting, producing high-quality images while ensuring a calm, comforting experience for patients. The role involves adhering to quality standards mandated by the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and FDA, with potential support for general radiography exams at select locations.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiologic procedures focused on breast health
- Create a reassuring environment for patients undergoing mammography
- Maintain compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements
- Support diagnostic exams using general radiography skills when needed
Qualifications & Skills
- Completion of a radiologic technology training program meeting ARRT registry requirements
- Current Washington Radiologic Technologist certification
- ARRT registration in Radiography and Mammography
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association
- Preferred: At least 2 years of full-time mammography experience
