Mammography Technologist

Responsibilities

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography exams using specialized equipment
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality imaging
• Maintain competency in clinical and technical functions, including advanced procedures like biopsies and clip placements
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper identification
• Operate equipment adhering to radiation safety guidelines
• Provide patient education and address concerns
• Complete documentation accurately and follow protocols for quality control and equipment maintenance

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Valid radiologic license and ARRT certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Preferred: ARRT Mammography certification or ongoing training in mammography
• Strong imaging techniques, patient care skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Physical & Work Requirements

• Frequent manual dexterity, ability to lift and transfer patients, and stand for extended periods
• Must communicate effectively and navigate busy environments
