Mammography Technologist

This position performs a variety of radiological technical procedures specific to the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease in a high-volume outpatient setting. Responsible for producing high-quality radiographic images while interacting with all patients in a caring and comforting manner. Jointly responsible for performing required quality control activities as mandated by the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and the FDA. Depending on location, may be required to utilize general radiography skills to perform diagnostic radiology exams.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiological technical procedures specific to breast disease diagnosis and treatment.
• Produce high-quality radiographic images in a high-volume outpatient setting.
• Interact with patients in a caring and comforting manner.
• Perform quality control activities as mandated by MQSA and FDA.
• Depending on location, perform diagnostic radiology exams using general radiography skills.

Requirements

• Successful completion of a formal radiologic technology training program meeting ARRT registry requirements.
• Upon hire: Washington Radiologic Technologist license.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Radiography (ARRT).
• Within 1 year of hire: National Registered Technologist - Mammography (ARRT).
• Depending on location, prior general radiography experience may be required.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years full-time mammography experience.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $50.17 - $76.84 per hour. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Schedule

This is a full-time, per-diem, day shift position.
