Mammography Technician - Per Diem

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Mammography Technician to join our New York Clinic, primarily covering Monday shifts, with flexibility to support Tuesday through Saturday shifts as needed. Our New York Clinic hours of operations are 7:00am – 3:00pm.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine screening
• Ensure high quality screenings and customer service to patients
• Educate and promote preventative health and healthy lifestyles
• Review patient assessment of signs and symptoms
• Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies
• Complete any necessary paperwork and documentation, ensuring all radiographic images are appropriately labeled
• Communicate effectively with the clinical team to ensure total delivery of quality care
• Monitor patient prior to, during and after screenings and promptly reports any abnormal findings in patient's condition
• Additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• New York State License of Diagnostic Radiography required
• 2+ years of related experience and/or training
• BCLS certified
• Superb written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Comfortable with MS Office suite and Web-Based applications
• Must possess a positive attitude and be highly articulate and professional

Qualifications

• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to interact with patients and colleagues in a professional manner
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods of time

Pay

The rate for this role is $55 - $75 per hour and is determined by a number of factors including the candidate's experience, qualifications and skills.
