MAMMOGRAPHY TECH / X-RAY FLOAT - IMAGING

About the role

The Mammography / X-Ray Technologist will serve as a healthcare provider who provides clinically relevant information to assist physicians with patient diagnoses and treatments. Responsibilities include performing radiologic imaging procedures, maintaining patient privacy, and adhering to professional and ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiologic imaging procedures on appropriate anatomical regions in accordance with accepted standards and protocols.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality by complying with privacy laws and facility policies.
• Reduce patient anxieties and answer questions to ensure patient cooperation.
• Minimize radiation exposure to both patients and staff through adherence to radiation protection techniques and equipment usage.
• Document patient care services accurately in patient and department records.
• Cooperate with healthcare personnel and comply with facility policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Proficiency in computer skills and software for documentation and report generation.
• ARRT certification in Mammography.
• AHA BLS Certification.

Qualifications

• Team-oriented and able to work effectively with others.
• Proficient in English communication for safe and effective patient care.
• Aware of and adheres to professional and ethical standards.
• Knowledgeable in the specialty area(s) to be performed, including mammography.
