MAMMOGRAPHY TECH / X-RAY FLOAT - IMAGING

About the role

The Mammography / X-Ray Technologist will serve as a healthcare provider who provides clinically relevant information to assist physicians with patient diagnoses and treatments. Responsibilities include performing radiologic imaging procedures, maintaining patient privacy, and adhering to professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiologic imaging procedures on appropriate anatomical regions in accordance with accepted standards and protocols.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality by complying with privacy laws and facility policies.
• Reduce patient anxiety and answer questions to ensure effective patient care.
• Practice radiation protection techniques and use beam restrictive devices to minimize radiation exposure to both patients and staff.
• Document patient care services accurately in patient and department records.
• Cooperate with healthcare personnel and comply with facility policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrated proficiency with computer skills and software for documentation.
• ARRT mammography certification.
• AHA BLS Certification.

Qualifications

• Experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of radiation protection techniques and patient care protocols.
