About the role
Under general supervision of the Director of Radiology Services, the Mammographer actively participates in the performance of specialized radiographic imaging procedures which assist the radiologists in the diagnosis and treatment of medical disorders. The Mammographer will participate in direct patient care, facility quality and safety initiatives, and compliance with local and federal regulations. Assist with complex and sensitive patient and patient family issues. Ensures quality and safe delivery of care to patients of all ages.
Responsibilities
- Perform specialized radiographic imaging procedures, including mammography.
- Participate in direct patient care and address patient and family concerns.
- Adhere to facility quality and safety initiatives as well as local and federal regulations.
- Ensure quality and safe delivery of care to patients of all ages.
- Travel to all imaging facilities as required, both regularly and without notice.
- Utilize Hospital Information Services (HIS) and Radiology Information System (RIS).
Requirements
- Licensure and/or fluoroscopy permit as required by State.
- Current ARRT certification.
- Advanced certification in the field of Mammography.
- Current experience as a radiology technologist.
- Current BCLS (AHA) certification.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Federal, State, and Local regulatory standards.
- Strong verbal, written, and communication skills.
Pay
A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $31.44 to $45.54 per hour. The exact starting compensation will be determined based on factors such as skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
