Mammographer Sonographer

The role involves providing mammography imaging and stereo procedures, along with bone density assessments if applicable. Responsibilities include positioning patients, selecting technical parameters, adhering to safety standards, assisting with advanced procedures, administering contrast media within regulatory guidelines, and ensuring high-quality images are promptly submitted to PACS. The technician must maintain a clean, safe department and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: An associate's degree or completion of a sonography certification program; no prior experience required. Candidates must hold relevant licenses and certifications, including BLS and specific radiologic and sonographic credentials, depending on the state of work. Skills & Physical Requirements: Constant standing, walking, visual and auditory acuity, patient handling, and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. Repetitive movements and fine motor skills are essential. Key Duties: Accurate patient positioning, safety compliance, assisting physicians, preparing contrast media, submitting quality images, and maintaining department safety.
