Mammographer - Radiology

About the role

The Mammographer performs mammography procedures, including screening, diagnostic, and interventional studies, under supervision. They use x-ray technology to assist in patient diagnosis across all ages, ensuring optimal image quality through proper positioning and technical settings.

Responsibilities

• Operate all mammography equipment and support systems such as HIS, RIS, and PACS.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Provide patient care by maintaining confidentiality, coordinating exams, and communicating effectively with medical staff and patients.
• Perform equipment maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Administer relevant medications per hospital procedures.
• Handle scheduling inquiries professionally.

Requirements

• Graduation from a radiologic technology program.
• Current ARRT certification.
• Valid state radiographer license.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification.
