About the role
The Mammographer performs mammography procedures, including screening, diagnostic, and interventional studies, under supervision. They use x-ray technology to assist in patient diagnosis across all ages, ensuring optimal image quality through proper positioning and technical settings.
Responsibilities
- Operate all mammography equipment and support systems such as HIS, RIS, and PACS.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Provide patient care by maintaining confidentiality, coordinating exams, and communicating effectively with medical staff and patients.
- Perform equipment maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Administer relevant medications per hospital procedures.
- Handle scheduling inquiries professionally.
Requirements
- Graduation from a radiologic technology program.
- Current ARRT certification.
- Valid state radiographer license.
- Basic Life Support (CPR) certification.
