About the role

Mammo Technologists at Rochester General Health System play a crucial role in providing high-quality mammography services. They are responsible for ensuring that patients receive comfortable and safe examinations while maintaining strict adherence to ACR quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate documentation of exams and related procedures using RIS/PACS and inpatient charts.
• Perform screening, diagnostic, and assist in performing mammographic procedures.
• Monitor image quality continuously to ensure compliance with ACR standards.
• Inspect and maintain mammography equipment for optimal performance.
• Conduct daily and periodic mammography Quality Assurance activities under the supervision of the Mammo QA technologist.
• Assist radiologists in performing mammographic procedures as needed.
• Provide exceptional customer service and communication skills during patient interactions.

Requirements

• Two-year college degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
• NYS license in Radiologic Technology or NYS permit with licensure within six months.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification within six months.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior Radiologic Technologist experience.
• ARRT-M Advanced Mammography Certification.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and various software applications.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.

Pay

The base pay range for this position is $29.50 - $42.50 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, variable hours, rotating day shifts, and rotating weekends.
