Purpose
The primary purpose of your job position as a Mammographer / Radiographer in the Medical Imaging Department is to perform assigned duties in an effective manner, in accordance with established policies and procedures, and as directed by your supervisor to assure that a successful viable department is maintained at all times.
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Verification of successful graduation from an AMA accredited radiography program and certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- Verification of Ohio State Radiological License
- General orientation and safety programs must be completed
- Technologist should be able to reach full productivity in 60 working days
- Has complete understanding of all common radiographic and Mammographic procedures, sterile techniques and some knowledge of nursing skills
- Should possess basic knowledge of how an Imaging Department functions
- Working knowledge of medical terminology is required
- Has complete understanding of imaging processing and clerical procedures
- Must be able to work with long term and acute care patients
- Must be able to function effectively and efficiently in emergencies
- Must be able to make quick decisions when necessary
