About the role

This position is located in Saint Johns, FL at Optimal Imaging, part of Ascension St. Vincent's in the Outpatient Imaging department. The schedule is day shift and full-time.

Responsibilities

• Execute advanced mammography procedures with precise positioning and technical parameter selection.
• Educate patients on procedures and the vital importance of preventative breast health.
• Evaluate image quality for optimal contrast and definition before submission to PACS.
• Adhere to strict radiation safety protocols and routine equipment maintenance standards.
• Manage departmental workflows, including equipment troubleshooting and procedure room upkeep.

Requirements

• BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
• Radiologic Technologist credential from the Florida Department of Health (Florida license requirements not applicable to associates working in Georgia).
• One or more of the following: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Registered Radiologic Technologist licensure (mammography registry preferred).

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience, or
• Associate's degree/Technical degree, or
• 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
