About the role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to provide support and companionship for our son, a well-behaved 13-year-old boy with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). This position offers a rewarding opportunity to help build confidence and develop new skills.

About the individual

He loves the beach, displays a gentle and composed personality, and is an excellent listener. He does not like crowded areas and prefers quiet, less crowded environments.

Your role would include visiting shops, engaging in sports, and swimming to actively build his confidence.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and companionship
• Help build confidence through activities such as visiting shops, sports, and swimming
• Engage in a calm and quiet environment suited to his preferences

Requirements

• Compassionate and dedicated individual
• Driver preferred but not essential
• Previous experience is desirable though not essential
• Must be male (genuine occupational requirement under the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and Equality Act 2010)
• Must have permission to work in the U.K. at the time of starting employment
• Subject to references and satisfactory DBS checks

Pay

£14.00 per hour

Schedule

4 hours per week on a Saturday or Sunday
