Makerspace Lab Manager

About the role

Manages the Dan T. Moore (DTM) Makerspace Laboratory. Serves as a resource to students, faculty, and staff by providing instructional, technical, and administrative support. Works to support the development of projects to enhance curricular needs.

Responsibilities

• Develops and manages annual budget for the lab
• Works with other Cleveland State University (CSU) colleges to guide and integrate the lab's resources for their needs
• Coordinates partnerships with select community non-profits
• Collaborates with peers at other universities and community makerspace staff to share information and continuously improve on best practices
• Manages the incorporation of undergraduate introductory engineering courses into the use of the DTM
• Performs other functionally related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferably in engineering or engineering technology discipline
• Four (4) years of work experience in an industrial or educational setting with demonstrated emphasis on engineering or technological laboratory teaching or management
• Supervisory and training experience
