Make A Lasting Impact with Antelope Valley Youth

Description

Youth in Antelope Valley are in desperate need of caring adults like YOU.

This is an in-person mentoring program where you will spend time with your mentee exploring, talking, and learning about them. You might play basketball together, work on homework, or just try new foods. There is no set curriculum (don't worry, we have activities you can do if you get stuck) but there is a lot of freedom to do anything that interests you both.

What we're looking for

• Caring adults 21 or over who have reliable access to a car
• Able to be empathetic, a good listener, and want to make a difference in a young person's life
• Someone willing to share their own experiences and mistakes with their mentee
• A commitment of 1 hour a week for a full year

Requirements

• Completion of a background check
• Participation in training
